Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Repeats Top Original Competition

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (6/21/18):

CBS (4.398 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) inched past the competition despite an all-repeat lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (5.707 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1), "Young Sheldon" (5.678 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2), "Mom" (4.652 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4), "Life in Pieces" (3.704 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and "SWAT" (3.323 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11).

Sharing the demo crown was FOX (2.388 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) with a new "The Four: Battle for Stardom" (2.185 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and a second hour of "The Four: Battle for Stardom" (2.591 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3).

Next up was NBC (3.516 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and its mix of "Little Big Shots" (5.515 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4), "Marlon" (2.758 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7), another "Marlon" (2.381 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and a repeat "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.464 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.337 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) offered up its new lineup of "The Gong Show" (3.138 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11), "Match Game" (3.454 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and "Take Two" (3.420 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11).

And finally, repeats of "Supernatural" (0.761 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15) and "Black Lightning" (0.629 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.1, #16) on The CW (0.695 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) rounded out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

FOX (3.036 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) edged out the demo competition on Thursday with new episodes from "Beat Shazam" (3.161 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) and "Love Connection" (2.913 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3).

NBC (3.921 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was a close second with the summer premieres of "Hollywood Game Night" (3.793 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6), "The Wall" (4.436 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) and "The Night Shift" (3.534 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).

Next up was CBS (4.125 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and its repeat lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (6.319 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1), "Superior Donuts" (4.507 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6), "Mom" (4.427 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8), "Life in Pieces" (3.572 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and "MacGyver" (2.964 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13).
