Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers, Demos in Tight Race

Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/19/18):

CBS (4.559 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1) was the top draw on Sunday with its mix of "60 Minutes" (6.158 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5), "Big Brother 20" (5.779 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1), "NCIS: New Orleans" (3.084 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (3.218 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14).

ABC (4.280 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then was a close second with repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.519 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) and "Celebrity Family Feud" (4.594 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2) plus new episodes of "$100,000 Pyramid" (4.534 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2) and "To Tell the Truth" (3.475 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5).

Next up was NBC (3.361 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and its lineup of "Dateline NBC" (4.070 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12), "U.S. Gymnastics Championships" (3.095 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) and "Shades of Blue" (3.186 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5).

And finally, "PGA Overrun" (0.570 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.1, #17) and repeats of "The Simpsons" (0.831 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.3, #16), another "The Simpsons" (1.366 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5), "Bob's Burgers" (1.239 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12), "Family Guy" (1.514 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) and another "Bob's Burgers" (1.385 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) rounded out the night on FOX (1.151 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4).

Next up was NBC (2.716 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with its coverage of the "U.S. Gymnastics Championships" (2.939 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9) and a repeat "American Ninja Warrior" (2.493 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).
