Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: College Football Sparks ABC Victory

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/2/18):

ABC (5.881 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was the network to beat on Sunday with its telecast of "College Football: Miami vs. LSU" (6.328 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1). A repeat "The Goldbergs" (2.754 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) kicked off the night at 7:00/6:00c.

CBS (4.084 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) then was the silver draw with its mix of "60 Minutes" (5.741 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4), "Big Brother 20" (4.684 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (2.974 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9) and a second "NCIS: Los Angeles" (2.939 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9).

Next up was NBC (3.923 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #3) with repeats of "Dateline NBC" (4.884 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "America's Got Talent" (2.962 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).

And finally, FOX (1.053 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) rounded out the night with repeats of "Bob's Burgers" (0.768 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13), "The Simpsons" (0.893 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13), another "The Simpsons" (1.097 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9), "Bob's Burgers" (1.009 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9), "Family Guy" (1.240 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and another "Family Guy" (1.310 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).

CBS (4.766 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was the silver draw with its mix of "60 Minutes" (6.925 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3), "Big Brother 19" (5.600 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (3.076 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7) and another "NCIS: Los Angeles" (3.466 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7).

Next up was FOX (2.749 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and its special coverage of "College Football: Texas A&M at UCLA" (2.749 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

And finally, NBC (2.060 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) rounded out the night with "Do Your Job Part 2: Bill Belichick and the 2016 Patriots" (1.489 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #10) followed by encores of "America's Got Talent" (2.204 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7) and "American Ninja Warrior" (2.274 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #6).
