Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: World Series Opens Up for FOX

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/23/18):

FOX (12.624 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.4, #1) leapt into the top spot on Tuesday with its presentation of the "World Series, Game 1" (12.624 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.4, #1).

NBC (7.673 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then got bumped to second place with its trio of "The Voice" (8.236 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4), "This Is Us" (8.378 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) and "New Amsterdam" (6.407 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5).

Next up was CBS (9.025 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) with originals from "NCIS" (11.143 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #6), "FBI" (8.803 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #8) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (7.129 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10).

Meanwhile, ABC (4.774 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) served up week two of its lineup "The Conners" (7.928 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3), "The Kids Are Alright" (5.139 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #7), "Black-ish" (3.802 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9), "Splitting Up Together" (2.922 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12) and "The Rookie" (4.426 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10).

And finally on The CW (1.524 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5), fresh installments from "The Flash" (1.818 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12) and "Black Lightning" (1.229 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14) rounded out the night.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
