Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS, FOX Share Demo Crown on Competitive Night

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/15/19):

CBS (7.521 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T1) was the top draw on a competitive Friday with its mix of "MacGyver" (6.420 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), "Hawaii Five-0" (7.272 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) and "Blue Bloods" (8.870 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3).

FOX (4.483 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T1) then shared in the demo honors thanks to new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (6.123 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) and a second "Last Man Standing" (5.628 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) followed by the premiere of "Proven Innocent" (3.090 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10).

Next up was ABC (3.606 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its lineup of "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.138 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), "Speechless" (2.354 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10) and a two-hour "20/20" (4.036 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.173 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up its trio of "Blindspot" (2.924 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10), "The Blacklist" (3.587 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and "Dateline NBC" (3.008 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

And finally, The CW (0.826 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night with repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.909 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.797 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.799 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.8/5; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.9/8; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.3/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 10 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/16/18):

NBC (16.915 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1) was of course the network to beat on Friday with its primetime coverage of the "2018 Winter Olympics" (16.915 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1).

The silver medal then went to CBS (3.963 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) with a new "Celebrity Big Brother" (4.497 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) followed by a second hour of "Celebrity Big Brother" (4.157 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) and a repeat "Hawaii Five-0" (3.236 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #6).

Next up was ABC (2.673 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with the feature "A Bug's Life" (2.402 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and its mainstay "20/20" (3.216 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.363 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) offered up a repeat "The X-Files" (1.476 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7) and a second "The X-Files" (1.251 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7).

And finally, the season finale of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.610 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9) and a repeat "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.683 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9) rounded out the night on The CW (0.646 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).
