Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC, "Voice" Hold Off Surge from ABC, "Idol"

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/15/19):

NBC (6.382 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) held off the competition on Monday with new episodes of "The Voice" (7.589 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) and "The Enemy Within" (3.970 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

ABC (5.747 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) then was the number two draw with fresh installments from "American Idol" (7.054 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) and "The Fix" (3.134 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #10).

Next up was FOX (5.073 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) and originals from "The Resident" (4.471 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #6) and "9-1-1" (5.675 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.466 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) offered up new episodes of "The Neighborhood" (5.747 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4), "Man with a Plan" (5.015 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5), "The Code" (4.424 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and "Bull" (6.591 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

And finally, a new "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (1.016 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11) and the relocated "Arrow" (0.731 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #12) on The CW (0.874 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) rounded out the evening.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3; "Late Show," 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (4/16/18):

NBC (7.639 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was still the network to beat on Monday with originals from "The Voice" (9.232 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) and "Good Girls" (4.453 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3).

The silver then went to ABC (5.957 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) and new episodes from "American Idol" (6.851 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) and "The Crossing" (4.171 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8).

Next up was FOX (3.733 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with the return of "Lucifer" (3.173 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8) and "The Resident" (4.293 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4).

Meanwhile, CBS (4.779 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) served up its mix of "Kevin Can Wait" (5.288 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), "Man with a Plan" (5.085 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6), "Superior Donuts" (4.520 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6), "Living Biblically" (3.540 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) and the season finale of "Scorpion" (5.120 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8).
