Unscripted Hit The Last Cowboy Hits Series Highs with P18-49
New York, NY, August 12, 2019 - Paramount Network's hit drama Yellowstone averaged 5.4 million total viewers on August 7 in L+3 viewing, marking a new series high. Episode 207 also ranked as the highest-rated telecast among P18-49 (2.3 rating) and P25-54 (3.1 rating) across all of TV on August 7, while also topping cable among total viewers, P18-49 and P25-54. The episode hit series high ratings across the board.
Yellowstone continues its run as cable's most-watched summer series. Ratings for last week's episode 207 are included below (all numbers are L+3):
· Total viewers: 5.4 million, up +10% from last week, up +11% from season to date
· P18-49: 2.3 rating, up +20% from last week, up +27% from season to date
· W18-49: 2.3 rating, up +26% from last week, up +31% from season to date
· M18-49: 2.3 rating, up +15% from last week, up +24% from season to date
· P25-54: 3.1 rating, up +17% from last week, up +23% from season to date
· W25-54: 3.2 rating, up +22% from last week, up +28% from season to date
· M25-54: 3.1 rating, up +12% from last week, up +17% from season to date
Following Yellowstone on August 7, hit unscripted series The Last Cowboy hit new season highs with P18-49, W18-49, and M18-49 and W25-54. Episode 103 recorded a .36 P18-49 rating (+7% from the previous week); .41 W18-49 rating (+13%); .31 M18-49 rating (+1%); and a .55 W25-54 rating (+11%). The Last Cowboy ranked #2 on all of cable in its time slot among P25-54 (rank based on coverage rating).
Both The Last Cowboy and Yellowstone come to Paramount Network from Academy Award(R)-nominee Taylor Sheridan, writer of Hell or High Water and Sicario and writer/director of Wind River. New episodes of Yellowstone premiere Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by new episodes of The Last Cowboy at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
Paramount Network recently ordered a 10-episode third season of Yellowstone. The series stars world-renowned actor and Oscar(R)-winner Kevin Costner as John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. Yellowstone is co-created by critically-acclaimed, Oscar(R)-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The impressive cast list for Yellowstone also includes Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Danny Huston and Gil Birmingham. Neal McDonough joined the cast for season two.
