Friday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX, "WWE SmackDown" Stay on Top in Demos

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/17/20):

FOX (1.893 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #1) held onto the demo crown on Friday thanks to "WWE SmackDown" (1.893 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #1).

CBS (3.663 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) was the most-watched broadcaster with repeats of "MacGyver" (3.460 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5), "Magnum P.I." (3.742 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5) and "Blue Bloods" (3.787 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5).

Next up was NBC (2.906 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T2) with encores of "The Wall" (2.334 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5) and "Dateline NBC" (3.192 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T2).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.618 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T2) offered up a repeat "Shark Tank" (2.971 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T2) and a new "20/20" (2.442 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T2).

And finally, a new "Masters of Illusion" (0.755 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9) and repeats of "Masters of Illusion" (0.647 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11), "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.658 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11) and another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.763 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9) closed out the night on The CW (0.706 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.371 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) served up encores of "First Responders Live" (1.608 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T6) and "MasterChef" (1.133 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T6).
