Friday's Broadcast Ratings: NBA Finals Keep ABC in Front

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/9/20):

ABC (5.360 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was the network to beat on Friday with its presentations of "Jimmy Kimmel: Game Night" (5.012 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2), "NBA Countdown" (4.295 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) and "NBA Finals, Game 5" (5.714 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1).

FOX (2.086 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) was the silver draw with its latest edition of "WWE SmackDown" (2.086 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4).

Next up was CBS (2.909 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) and its trio of "The Greatest #AtHome Videos" (3.173 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #6), "Undercover Boss" (2.631 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7) and a repeat "Blue Bloods" (2.922 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.206 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #3) offered up an encore of "American Ninja Warrior" (1.838 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7) plus "Dateline NBC" (2.942 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5).

And finally, The CW (0.635 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the night with "Masters of Illusion" (0.605 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10), a repeat "Masters of Illusion" (0.524 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10), "World's Funniest Animals" (0.704 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10) and a repeat "World's Funniest Animals" (0.708 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10).
