"48 HOURS" IS SATURDAY'S #1 PRIMETIME BROADCAST WITH VIEWERS AT 10:00 PM
48 HOURS: "The Tara Grinstead Mystery" was Saturday's #1 primetime broadcast at 10:00 PM with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Saturday, Jan. 2.
The broadcast delivered 2.88 million viewers and posted a 0.5/03 with adults 25-54 (tied for first with NBC) and a 0.3/02 with adults 18-49 (tied for first with NBC). 48 HOURS added +150,000 viewers when compared to the previous original edition on Dec. 12, 2020.
Saturday's broadcast featured 48 HOURS' and Peter Van Sant's investigation into the disappearance of Tara Grinstead, a Georgia teacher and former beauty queen, who vanished in October 2005 and the quest to find out what really happened to her. The broadcast included the first television interview with John McCullough, who maintains he tried to give investigators a tip that could have cracked the case in 2007.
