Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Tops Demos in Tight Race

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/5/20):

ABC (3.335 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) claimed top demo honors on Tuesday with its telecasts of "The Wonderful World of Disney: The Lion King" (3.643 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) and "Election Night: The Georgia Senate Runoffs - Your Voice Your Vote - An ABC News Special" (1.793 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T6).

NBC (3.525 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) was a close second with the return of "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" (2.960 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4), "This Is Us" (5.050 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) and "Nurses" (2.564 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #9).

Next up was CBS (4.594 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #3) and its repeat trio of "NCIS" (5.570 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3), "FBI" (4.809 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) and "FBI: Most Wanted" (3.404 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.760 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up its special "Gordon Ramsay's American Road Trip" (1.760 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T6).

And finally, a new "World's Funniest Animals" (0.893 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10) and repeats of "World's Funniest Animals" (0.901 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10), "Masters of Illusion" (0.538 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10) and another "Masters of Illusion" (0.456 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T10) rounded out the night on The CW (0.697 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).

CBS (8.923 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) was the number two draw with its trio of "NCIS" (10.279 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4), "FBI" (9.300 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #6) and "FBI: Most Wanted" (7.190 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7).Sharing the silver was NBC (3.897 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) with the season premiere of "Ellen's Game of Games" (4.347 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4), another "Ellen's Game of Games" (4.654 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) and a sneak preview of "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" (2.690 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11).
