"60 MINUTES" MAKES THE TOP FIVE IN VIEWERS AND IS #1 IN ADULTS 18+
60 MINUTES finished the week at #2 in viewers and tied as the #1 primetime broadcast in adults 18+, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, May 1. This is the 16th time this season the show has made the top five in viewers, and the 24th time it has made the top 10 program out of 25 airings. 60 MINUTES delivered 7.53 million viewers, 3.0/13 in adults 18+ (7.40m) and 0.8/06 in adults 25-54 (925,000).
This season, 60 MINUTES has been television's #1 primetime broadcast in viewers six times.
Sunday's edition of 60 MINUTES led with Scott Pelley's interview from Odesa, Ukraine with United Nations World Food Programme executive director David Beasely on his organization's efforts to curb the hunger crisis; Jon Wertheim's meeting with Iceland's contenders for Eurovision, the world's largest musical event and a live TV show that's a cross between the Olympics and "American Idol"; and Sharyn Alfonsi's report on the Birds Aren't Real movement and interview with founder Peter McIndoe.
