Top 10 Week of Aug. 28: 'ONE PIECE' and 'You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah' Nab the Top Spots
ONE PIECE sailed straight to the top of the English TV List, plundering an impressive 18.5M views in just four days of release. The series reached the Top 10 in 93 countries, and debuted at #1 in 46. Based on Japan's highest-selling manga series in history, which has sold more than 500 million copies globally, the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's sprawling tale currently has one of Netflix's highest audiences scores ever. A huge thanks to the thousands of straw hats who assembled around the world for fan screenings and celebrations across 10 countries. The UK thriller Who Is Erin Carter? also had a strong second week with 15.8M views, ranking second. Making their list debuts were the docuseries Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones, which took third place with 5.7M views, and Disenchantment Part 5, which took tenth place with 4.6M views. Returning titles rounded out the list including Painkiller at #4 (3.4M views), The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On Season 2 at #5 (3.1M views), Depp V. Heard at #6 (2.7M views), Untold: Swamp Kings at #7 (1.9M views), and Gabby's Dollhouse Season 8 at #9 (1.5M views).
Adam Sandler's family comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah rose to the #1 spot on the English Films List in its second week of release with an impressive 21.9M views. Returning titles included the animated film The Monkey King, starring Jimmy O. Yang and Bowen Yang, which took second place (6.6M views) and the Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan and Alia Bhatt spy action-thriller Heart of Stone, which took third place (5.2M views). The interactive romantic comedy Choose Love, in which viewers make choices for the main character Cami as she navigates her love life, debuted in fourth place with 6.5M views.
All three seasons of the Norwegian fantasy series Ragnarok made the Non-English TV List, with Season 3 claiming the top spot (6.3M views), followed by Season 2 at #4 (2.7M views), and Season 1 at #5 (2.6M views). Korean titles dominated the list with five titles including K-drama Mask Girl coming in at #2 with 3.5M views, the romantic comedy Destined with You Season 1 grabbing the #3 spot (2.9M views), the supernatural mystery Behind Your Touch taking the #7 spot (1.4M views) and the romantic comedy King the Land filling the #8 spot (1.3M views). Japanese animes claimed sixth and tenth place with Baki Hanma Season 2 clocking 2M views and My Happy Marriage clocking 1.2M views.
Heartwarming Mexican comedy The Great Seduction debuted atop the Non-English Films list with 5.4M views. Also making their list debuts were the Swedish thriller A Day and a Half in third place (4.4M views), the Dutch romantic comedy Happy Ending in fifth place (2.3M views) and the Bollywood romance Friday Night Plan in ninth place (.8M views). The remainder of the list was comprised of returning favorites including the Spanish horror film Killer Book Club at #2 (5.3M views), the Polish romance Squared Love Everlasting at #4 (2.4M views), Brazilian true crime documentary A Life Too Short: The Isabella Nardoni Case at #6 (1.3M views) and the German dystopian thriller Paradise, which landed at #7 (1M views) in its sixth week on the list.
