ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN ALL KEY DEMOS - TOTAL VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49 - OVER CBS' 'THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN' AND NBC'S 'LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS'

'Nightline' Shows 3-Month High Across the Board

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (764,000), Adults 25-54 (222,000) and Adults 18-49 (146,000) during the week of Sept. 11, 2023, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" took the top spot, beating CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" in overall viewers in 18 of the last 19 weeks.

"Nightline" surged from the previous week in Total Viewers (+20% - 764,000 vs. 635,000), Adults 25-54 (+62% - 222,000 vs. 137,000) and Adults 18-49 (+100% - 146,000 vs. 73,000), turning in its strongest numbers across the board in 3 months - since weeks of 6/12/23, 6/5/23 and 6/12/23, respectively.

Season to date, "Nightline" is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+2% - 874,000 vs. 858,000). In addition, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

This week "Nightline" covered remembering those lost in 9/11, 22 years since the terrorist attacks; the end of the weekslong Pennsylvania search for a fugitive killer; Morocco's earthquake survivors speaking out about the deadly catastrophe; Hunter Biden being indicted on federal gun charges; ABC News' Matt Gutman's new book, "No Time to Panic"; Jill Duggar opening up about her strict upbringing in a new memoir; 24 hours with reggaeton star Karol G; New York Fashion Week and more.

NOTE: CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "The Late Late Show-JC-ENC," and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM." The retitled telecasts are excluded from the season averages.
