TUBI ORIGINAL MOVIE "SIDELINED: THE QB & ME" SCORES No. 1 SPOT ON TUBI IN THE US & CANADA
The Tubi Original Draws Biggest Number of Viewers of any Title in its First Week
SAN FRANCISCO, December 9, 2024 - Tubi (www.tubi.tv), Fox Corporation's (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced its recent Tubi Original, "Sidelined: The QB and Me" is #1 in both the US and Canada since its premiere on Friday, November 29th exclusively on Tubi. In both markets, the movie has drawn the biggest number of viewers of any title on Tubi in its first seven days and has also brought in the most new viewers for a title to date. In its first seven days, the movie was viewed by 17.9% of total viewers in the US and 19.9% of total viewers in Canada. The movie also maintained the #1 spot in total viewing time in the US (out of 250,00 movies and TV episodes) through its first week and remains number one in total viewing time in Canada (out of over 170,000 movies and TV episodes).
On Friday, December 6th, "Sidelined: The QB and Me" landed at number five on Variety's Streaming Originals Chart, which ranks the most-watched streaming originals every week based on data sourced from Luminate's Film & TV Streaming Viewership (M) product. Additionally, the movie boosted Tubi to the number one spot in Entertainment "Top Free" Apps, leading to a correlated lift in Apple App Store downloads last week by over 240% percent in the US and 400% in Canada.
Based on Wattpad sensation "The QB Bad Boy and Me" by Tay Marley, Dallas (Siena Agudong), a burdened but headstrong dancer, is determined to get into the best dance school in the country - her late mother's alma mater. But that dream is suddenly derailed when the cheeky yet secretly grieving high-school heartthrob, Drayton (Noah Beck), crashes into her life with a unique story of his own. Will the two of them grow into their dreams together or will they be sidelined?
The film stars Siena Agudong, Noah Beck, Drew Ray Tanner, with Deborah Cox and James Van Der Beek. Based on the Wattpad YA sensation The QB Bad Boy and Me by Tay Marley.
