ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN KEY ADULT DEMOS FOR THE WEEK OF DEC. 16 VERSUS CBS' 'AFTER MIDNIGHT' AND NBC'S 'LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS'

'Nightline' Improves on the Previous Week in Adults 18-49

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54 (204,000) and Adults 18-49 (144,000) for the week of Dec. 16, 2024, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, beating CBS' "After Midnight" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" for the 2nd straight week.

· "Nightline" improved on the previous week in Adults 18-49 (+12% - 144,000 vs. 129,000).

· "Nightline" saw gains year to year in Adults 25-54 (+24% - 204,000 vs. 165,000) and Adults 18-49 (+41% - 144,000 vs. 102,000).

· This week, "Nightline" covered the accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann, charged with his seventh murder; Timothée Chalamet learning guitar and embodying Bob Dylan in the biopic "A Complete Unknown"; the daughter of so-called "Pom-Pom Mom" discussing the pain of the alleged cheerleader murder plot and more.

NOTE: On Friday (12/20/24), NBC's "Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" due to being a repeat. The repeat telecast is excluded from season averages. NBC's weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
