DESCRIPTION: (from Travel Channel's press release, January 2013) They say nothing good happens after 2:00 a.m., but late-night food expert Mikey Roe will show you otherwise! After years of exploring the most extreme and delicious open-all-night food spots, Roe is taking viewers on a tour of America's best after-hours eateries on Travel Channel's new original series "Feed the Beast," premiering Wednesday, March 6 with two back-to-back episodes beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. In each of the six half-hour episodes, host Mikey Roe explores a different city, including New York, Austin, Texas, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Hitting the streets, he reveals the hottest food scenes and must-have meals for any pre-dawn menu, whether you're ending the night or just starting the day. Taking in the food, people and nightlife, Roe discovers a dynamic scene and flavor distinct to each city - from a gourmet hot dog shop with a hidden speakeasy in New York City or a Native American food truck in Seattle, to kimchi fries in Austin and lobster pizza in Los Angeles. Meeting with locals, chefs and patrons, he uncovers just what makes each post-midnight meal so delectable and unforgettable. And ultimately, before the sun rises, he'll crown his favorite local fare. |
