(from Sky's press release, December 2025) Sky has released the official trailer for upcoming Sky Original series GOMORRAH - THE ORIGINS, the highly anticipated six-part prequel produced by Sky Studios and Cattleya, part of ITV Studios, expanding the epic Sky Original crime saga inspired by Roberto Saviano's bestselling novel. The series is set to premiere early 2026 on Sky and streaming service NOW. Set in 1977 Naples, the new series is an origin story tracing the criminal education of a very young Pietro Savastano. The story of how it all began - how the future mob boss will enter a criminal world, against the backdrop of a city in transformation: poor, rough-edged, marked by cigarette smuggling and on the brink of the heroin era. Gomorrah - The Origins will offer a fresh perspective on the roots of Pietro's power, capturing an era that shaped the face of modern crime. |
