DESCRIPTION: (from NBC's press release) In the first unscripted series from multiple Emmy Award winner David E. Kelley ("The Practice," "Ally McBeal," "L.A. Law"), real lawyers compete against each other while trying real court cases with real clients, in front of real judges and juries, resulting in outcomes that are final, legal and binding for the parties. In this premiere episode, the managing partner of "The Law Firm" - famed trial attorney and legal analyst Roy Black - meets the 12 contestants, all vying for a $250,000 grand prize. The contestants are divided into teams and try two cases - a lively neighbor dispute concerning a three-legged dog and a lawsuit against a county coroner - before Black decides which two contestants will be eliminated. |
