DESCRIPTION:
(from Viaplay US's web site, March 2026) Jacek, a vibrant foodie, gay man, and Warsaw bon vivant, stars in his own popular TV food show. Surrounded by a cast of eccentric friends and harbouring self-destructive tendencies, his life unfolds in a dramedy that playfully satirises Poland’s artistic elite, those who see Warsaw as “the only real Polish city.” Unlike anything else on television, this unique series is the brainchild of playwright and screenwriter Paweł Demirski. From the start, Demirski set out to create a character who defies the modern-day burnout culture, a wildly passionate figure who truly believes that the best is yet to come. |
