DESCRIPTION: (from Cartoon Network's press release, September 2010) From creator Paul Dini (Lost, Batman Beyond) and executive producer Glen Morgan (X-Files, Millennium, Final Destination) comes Tower Prep, Cartoon Network's new hour-long, live-action mystery. The series pilot was written by Dini and helmed by prolific television director Terry McDonough (The Gates, Breaking Bad). Tower Prep tells the story of Ian Archer - played by stand out up-and-comer Drew Van Acker - a budding hero who wakes up one morning to find himself at a mysterious academy for teens with special abilities. Unable to find answers to his questions from the school's faculty and cut off from any kind of outside contact or means of escape, Ian forms a secret group with fellow suspicious students Gabe Lexington Forrest (Ryan Pinkston), CJ Ward (Elise Gatien) and Suki Sato (Dyana Liu), intent on discovering what this place is and why they are there. Tower Prep premieres on Cartoon Network Tuesday, October 19 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT). |
