DESCRIPTION:
(from TBS's press release, November 2009) TBS is getting inside the heads of some of today's top young comedians with an all-new, late-night series THE VERY FUNNY SHOW, hosted by Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live). The half-hour series will feature standup performances taped at the famous Zanies Comedy Club in Chicago during TBS and Just For Laughs' recent comedy festival. The show is unique among standup series, with each act intercut by short interview vignettes in which comedians talk about the inspirations behind their work. THE VERY FUNNY SHOW is set to premiere with back-to-back episodes on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 12 a.m. (ET/PT), following TBS's new late-night talk show LOPEZ TONIGHT. |
