DESCRIPTION:
(from Lifetime's press release, March 2019) Based on a novel by best-selling author, Adriana Trigiani's Very Valentine tells the story of the Angelini Shoe Company, one of the last family-owned businesses in Greenwich Village that has been making exquisite wedding shoes since 1903, but now teeters on the brink of financial collapse. To save the family business from ruin, Valentine Roncalli (Kelen Coleman, Big Little Lies, The Newsroom) - apprentice to and granddaughter of master artisan Teodora Angelini (Jacqueline Bisset, Dancing on the Edge) - must bring the family's old-world craftsmanship into the 21st century. Juggling unpredictable love lives, duty to their family, and a design challenge presented by a prestigious department store, Valentine and Teodora are on a quest to build a pair of glorious shoes sure to beat their rivals.
