To hear host Howie Mandel tell it, the new series "Mobbed" is a combination of "Punk'd" with "Glee" as flash mobs of dancers are used to shock unsuspecting people who have been set up by friends and loved ones with surprises like marriage proposals or bringing together those who have been apart for a long period of time. The novel concept made it to a one-time special this spring and garnered strong enough ratings that eight more episodes are now coming to FOX beginning tonight. In a video chat with our Jim Halterman at this fall's FOX junket, Mandel talked about the genesis of the show as well as whether things always turn out good or sometimes not so good for those people who have been "Mobbed."
