Tonight in North Hollywood, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences became "ShondaLand" at an event dedicated to Shonda Rhimes, creator of hit series like "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" and whose latest series, "Scandal" premieres Thursday. "Welcome to ShondaLand: An Evening with Shonda Rhimes & Friends" was the title of the event and Rhimes was on hand to talk about her television work along with Executive Producer Betsy Beers and actors Ellen Pompeo and Sandra Oh (from "Grey's"), Taye Diggs and KaDee Strickland (from "Private Practice") and Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn and Katie Lowes (from "Scandal"). Our Jim Halterman was on the red carpet to chat with Rhimes and her friends before the panel kicked off.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 9:00/8:00c followed by "Scandal" at 10:00/9:00c on ABC. "Private Practice" moves into the Tuesday 10:00/9:00c time slot on ABC beginning April 17.
