While some critics initially wrote off the new series "The Neighbors" as too far out there in terms of its broad, manic humor, the sitcom has found a healthy audience on ABC's Wednesday night lineup. The series, created by Dan Fogelman, follows the normal - and very human - Weaver family (led by Jami Gertz and Lenny Venito) as they move into "Hidden Hills," a community where the population from another planet reside.

Our Jim Halterman sat down recently with co-stars Toks Olagundoye (Jackie Joyner-Kersee) and Simon Templeman (Larry Byrd) to talk about bringing the unique humor to the show as well as the big name Broadway producer who is bringing original music to a Broadway-based episode coming later this season.
