Esquire Network Releases Extended Trailer for New Epic Drama Series "Beowulf," Plus Sneak Previews of New Series "Team Ninja Warrior" and Season Three of "Friday Night Tykes" Plus Spin-Off Series "Friday Night Tykes: Steel Country"
Embarking on a journey into its second original scripted series, the epic tale of Beowulf premieres Saturday, January 23, at 10pm ET/PT. Based on the legendary English poem over a thousand years old, Beowulf tells the story of a disillusioned and damaged hero. The 13-episode, one hour drama chronicles Beowulf's return to his home Herot, to make peace with his past. Unwittingly in search of a cause to believe in and a community to fight for, Beowulf finds himself wrongly accused of murder and hunts down the real perpetrator to avenge the death of his fellow kinsmen. Beowulf becomes Herot's tough but unconventional hero, responsible for upholding the law and protecting the town from danger. The last of a dying breed, Beowulf is a man capable of shaping the world around him by his actions and force of will. For a sneak peek at the supernatural world of Beowulf:
"TEAM NINJA WARRIOR"

Eight action-packed episodes will feature the world's best competitors racing head-to-head in teams of three in a newly designed dual running course. The players will need to tap into their speed, superhuman agility and skill because their competitor's paths will cross theirs as they race through the obstacles for the fight to the finish. The series is hosted by comedian Matt Iseman, former NFL player and sports analyst Akbar Gbajabiamila and Fox Sports reporter Alex Curry. To catch a glimpse of the fierce competition:
"FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES"
Premiering Tuesday, January 19 at 9pm ET/PT, Esquire Network's hit documentary series Friday Night Tykes returns to San Antonio, Texas for season three and will begin a new franchise in Western Pennsylvania for Friday Night Tykes: Steel Country this Spring. This spin-off will focus on Beaver County, home of Mike Ditka, Joe Namath and where youth football is not a pastime, but a birthright. Here, kids feel intense pressure to be superstars, not just from home and on the field but also from their communities who are cheering from the stands.
Over the new season's ten episodes in San Antonio, viewers will have the chance to see the 10 and 11-year-old division of the Texas Youth Football Association (TYFA), and will get an authentic look at the making of potential future NFL superstars. Season three introduces the revamped team, the Predators, whose philosophy is "Smashmouth: Aggressive and Confrontational football." Lead by head coach John Collins, they practice tackles every single day. On the opposite end of punt sits the Yoakum Outlawz whose drastically different approach is to practice one day a week to avoid overexertion. Both teams have had great success with their different tactics and look forward to validating their methodology on the field.
