CBS DEBUTS HUMOROUS "CBS ALL ACCESS" COMMERCIAL DURING "SUPER BOWL 50"
CBS debuted a humorous CBS All Access commercial, set to the iconic Marvin Gaye song "Let's Get It On," during SUPER BOWL 50.
The 30-second commercial was directed by famed producer/writer/director Peter Farrelly (whose numerous directing credits include the feature film comedies "There's Something About Mary," "Me, Myself & Irene," "Dumb and Dumber" and its sequel, "Dumb and Dumber To"). It was produced by the CBS Marketing Group, with Garen van de Beek, Executive Vice President and Creative Director and Lori Shefa, Senior Vice President and Creative Director, On-Air Promotion, spearheading the effort.
In the commercial, Marvin Gaye's sexy song "Let's Get It On" and a seductive voiceover are paradoxically paired with video of the mascot-inspired CBS "Eye Guy" in a series of light-hearted vignettes, demonstrating the benefits and accessibility of CBS All Access.
"What works in the Super Bowl? Comedy, iconic fuzzy characters and Motown music!" said George Schweitzer, President, CBS Marketing Group. "We blended all three to generate attention for CBS All Access and how you can GET CBS ON all devices everywhere."
CBS All Access is the CBS Television Network's digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming subscription service that gives CBS fans the ability to watch more than 7,500 episodes on demand - spanning current shows from primetime, daytime and late night, as well as past seasons of select series and classic TV hits.
