Live Video of Angie Tribeca's Current Frozen State:
In an undisclosed location somewhere in Los Angeles, but definitely not in Burbank near the airport, Detective Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones) has stood frozen in a block of ice for the past two months in order to make a special announcement about the TBS series that bears her name. Today at 1 p.m. ET, Tribeca will finally be thawed out, hopefully alive, during a 30-minute (or more) Facebook Live event, facebook.com/TribecaTBS after which she will make her shocking revelation. Later this evening, at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT), TBS will launch the eagerly anticipated third season of Angie Tribeca.
Detective Tribeca came up with the idea of freezing herself as part of a big announcement months ago - long before anyone else thought of anything even remotely similar. A decorated crusader against crime and other things she doesn't like, she is risking her life and perfect skin to try this one-of-a-kind, never-been-done-before-as-far-as-we-know stunt. A medical staff has been monitoring Tribeca's vitals and has determined that, despite some anxiety over candles she may or may not have left burning in her apartment, she remains in excellent condition.
During the Facebook Live event, Tribeca's colleagues - including her boss, Lt. Pritikin "Chet" Atkins (Jere Burns); her colleagues, Detective "DJ" Tanner (Deon Cole) & Detective David Hoffman (Jagger); and her favorite medical examiner, Dr. Monica Scholls (Andrée Vermeulen) - will be standing by with blow torches, axes and other tools, in the event they need to speed the thawing process up before people stop watching.
TBS's first-ever police procedural, Angie Tribeca is the brainchild of Nancy and Steve Carell, who are executive-producing along with showrunner Ira Ungerleider.
