Prime Video Orchestrates First Live Immersive Trailer for "The Wilds" Season Two

Social media creators were invited to take part in unique social experiment

CULVER CITY, California¬ - May 10, 2022 - Prime Video pulled back the curtain today on the first live immersive trailer experience for a scripted series. As part of the launch campaign surrounding the second season of The Wilds, a thrilling YA series about a group of teenage girls stranded on a deserted island, social media creators were recently invited into the grand social experiment at the heart of the show through a live trailer performance.

Set amidst the backdrop of Will Rogers State Beach, social media creators were transported into the world of The Wilds through a series of live vignettes performed by the cast. In keeping with themes featured in the series, social media creators were then invited to observe, film, and create their own trailer.

"Whenever a trailer comes out, you get one perspective. What's unique about this is that we're all being asked to observe and frame things up as we see it. Fans aren't just getting one trailer - they're getting multiple interpretations," said Paul Nguyen, The Wilds' group creative director.

In Season Two, survival hangs in the balance for the group of teenage girls stranded on a deserted island, after the explosive discovery that what's happening to them is an elaborate social experiment. This season ups the drama and keeps you guessing, with the introduction of more test subjects - another island of teenage boys - who must also fight for survival under the watchful eye of the experiment's puppet master.

The second season of The Wilds premiered Friday, May 6, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The show is created and executive produced by Sarah Streicher alongside showrunner and executive producer Amy B. Harris. The late Jamie Tarses of FanFare and Dylan Clark of Dylan Clark Productions also serve as executive producers. The series is co-produced by Amazon Studios and ABC Signature, part of Disney Television Studios.
