Check out the trailer for Only For Love, Netflix's new series packed with music and romance

São Paulo, August 25, 2022 - Dreams and music intertwine with pain and romance in Netflix's new original series, Only For Love. Alongside the trailer released today, new posters and photos reveal more of Lucy Alves, Filipe Bragança and Agnes Nunes' characters and introduce others. Coming out on September 21, the production, set in Goiás, is filled with original songs, as well as classics already known and loved by listeners. Evidências, made popular by Chitãozinho and Xororó, is one example. It appears alongside other hits that prove Brazilians love and suffer for love in a unique way and in all rhythms - from forró by Barões da Pisadinha to axé by Banda Eva and pop from Anitta, all of which appear on the show's soundtrack.

In the trailer, Deusa (Lucy Alves) from Paraíba and Tadeu (Filipe Bragança) from Goiás are a musician couple who travel the roads of Goiás with their band, Só Se For Por Amor (Only For Love), in search of success. Brothers Valdo (Micael) and Nelton (Adriano Ferreira), as well as drummer Patrício (Giordano Castro), complete the band. When they go viral, Deusa is offered a solo career by powerful businessman César Marcolo (Gustavo Vaz), against the instincts of his wife and partner Ana Lígia (Ana Mametto).

When she accepts the opportunity to become a big star, Deusa's relationship hits the rocks. The conflicts intensify when the band goes in search of a new vocalist at Bar do Corno, run by Gorete (Laila Garin). And even more so when Tadeu and the group meet singer Roberta (Luiza Fittipaldi), and the mysterious Eva (Agnes Nunes), who wants to score a chart-topper, no matter the cost.

This truly Brazilian drama features a cast including names such as Jeniffer Nascimento, Bruno Fagundes, Leona Jhovs, Alexandre Menezes and Clarissa Müller, as well as special appearances from Marcélia Cartaxo, Leo Jaime, Day Camargo and Solange Almeida.

Created by Coração da Selva for Netflix, Only For Love is directed by Ana Luiza Azevedo, Gisele Barroco and Joana Mariani, with musical direction by Ricco Viana and Ruben Feffer. The series was produced by Georgia Costa Araújo and showrunner Luciano Patrick, who is also scriptwriter and creator of the show.
