'Hellbound' Resurrects: Season 2 Launch Trailer Unveils October 25 Premiere
Back from the depths, Hellbound Season 2 premieres on October 25, with a new teaser poster and launch trailer promising even more suspense and excitement.
Hellbound Season 1 was deemed the Best Horror Series in the 2021 Golden Tomato Awards and acclaimed by global viewers and critics, ranking within the Top 10 TV list in 93 countries just ten days after its release in 2021. This unique dystopian universe returns with Season 2, set in a world with continued hellbound decrees and demonstrations. Lawyer Min Hyejin (Kim Hyun-joo) of Sodo, The New Truth, and the Arrowheads are further entangled amid the sudden resurrections of the formerly condemned New Truth Chairman Jung Jinsu (Kim Sung-cheol) and Park Jungja (Kim Shin-rok).
The teaser poster features Jung Jinsu taking center stage as he is resurrected. As the first Chairman of The New Truth, Jung revealed that he received a prophecy from the angels 20 years ago and faced his demonstration by the monstrous executors in secret. He is depicted as resurrecting in the same place he was condemned, piquing curiosity around what's in store for him next.
In the launch trailer, Jung cries out after his resurrection, engulfed in flames as an executor runs towards him, hinting at the greater chaos in store next season. "As someone who loves the Hellbound universe, I'm both excited and nervous with anticipation for the series to meet fans after three years," says director and writer Yeon Sang-ho. "For anyone who enjoyed the first season, Season 2 will be filled with interesting questions to think about."
The second season of Hellbound returns on October 25, only on Netflix.
