Uplifting Coming of Age Anime Series 'Blue Box' Is Coming to Netflix Starting October 4
The long-awaited TV anime adaptation of Blue Box, based on Kouji Miura's hit manga of the same name, will be available on service from October 4 (October 3, PT). Since its serialization in April 2021 in Weekly Shonen Jump, the manga has attracted readers with its heartfelt depiction of young love.
The story is centered around Taiki, a rookie badminton player, who is suddenly unexpectedly brought closer to his long-time crush, Chinatsu, a star on the basketball team. For Taiki and his friends at the athletic and competitive Eimei Private High School, staying at the top of their game requires total focus. But with romance brewing, can they succeed at both?
The key art for the show has been unveiled, featuring the main character Taiki Inomata with a bright smile, Taiki's crush and basketball rising star Chinatsu Kano, his friends Hina Chono and Kyo Kasahara, as well as badminton teammate Kengo Haryu.
A new trailer offers viewers an exciting glimpse at early parts of the story, featuring the characters earnestly engaging in their club activities and the beginnings of their budding romances.
Blue Box streams starting October 4 on Netflix.
