New Series to Premiere Friday, December 13, Streaming on the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME Plan Ahead of its On-Air Debut on Sunday, December 15

Exclusive Clip Revealed at CCXP Brazil

Dec. 7, 2024 - Paramount+ with SHOWTIME today revealed an exclusive clip from the highly-anticipated prequel series DEXTER(R): ORIGINAL SIN at CCXP in São Paolo, Brazil on a panel featuring cast members Patrick Gibson ("Dexter Morgan"), Christian Slater ("Harry Morgan"), Molly Brown ("Debra Morgan"), special guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar ("Tanya Martin") and Patrick Dempsey ("Aaron Spencer"). The SHOWTIME(R) series will premiere Friday, December 13 on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan, before making its on-air US debut on Sunday, December 15 at 10 p.m. EST / PST. The 10-episode drama series chronicles America's favorite serial killer in training.

Serving as a prequel to the award-winning SHOWTIME(R) series DEXTER(R), DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN is set in 1991 Miami and follows Dexter (Gibson) as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can't be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement's radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.

DEXTER(R): ORIGINAL SIN also stars Christina Milian, James Martinez, Alex Shimizu and Reno Wilson. Michael C. Hall returns to voice the iconic inner monologue in Dexter Morgan's head.

DEXTER(R): ORIGINAL SIN is executive produced by Clyde Phillips, who also returns to serve as showrunner, and produced by SHOWTIME(R) Studios and Counterpart Studios. Executive producers also include Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Michael C. Hall (DEXTER, Six Feet Under), Mary Leah Sutton (Resident Evil), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris) and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), with the series being produced by Robert Lloyd Lewis (The Lincoln Lawyer). Michael Lehmann (Heathers) serves as directing executive producer.

For SHOWTIME(R) Studios, the series is being creatively overseen by Gary Levine and Urooj Sharif with production supervised by Tara Power. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of Paramount+ markets.
