Teaser for Action Thriller Series 'Trigger' Unleashes Tension as Firearms Surface in a Gun-Free Nation - Premieres July 25

Set in gun-free South Korea, Trigger explores the chaos that erupts when illegal firearms suddenly begin to circulate, sparking unprecedented violence in a country unaccustomed to such events. In this gripping action thriller, two men take up arms for very different reasons.

Kim Nam-gil (Song of the Bandits, The Fiery Priest) plays Lee Do, a former military sniper turned determined police detective, who races to stop a string of deadly incidents and trace the source of the illicit weapons. Kim Young-kwang (Somebody, Call It Love) takes on the role of Moon Baek, a mysterious figure who hides his true motives behind a carefree demeanor. The collaboration between these two action-thriller veteran actors is also amping up the anticipation for the series.

Adding to the excitement, the series is written and directed by Kwon Oh-seung, who has garnered significant attention at the Fantasia International Film Festival for his film Midnight.

In the teaser trailer, we see a world where firearms of unknown origin are delivered to various locations across the country, leading to widespread tension. "It is a story about a situation that we all have imagined at least once," says director Kwon Oh-seung. "This series explores guns from a different perspective, putting them at the center of the story."
