Turn of the Tide - Netflix unveils the trailer of the second season
Today, Netflix has unveiled the official trailer, poster, and new images for the second season of the Portuguese series that became a global hit with its first season, Turn of the Tide. The six new episodes will be available on Netflix on October 17, with a third season already confirmed, which will also premiere globally on Netflix.
The cast once again features José Condessa, Helena Caldeira, Rodrigo Tomás, and André Leitão, joined by renowned Portuguese actors such as Pêpê Rapazote, Maria João Bastos, Salvador Martinha, Afonso Pimentel, and Kelly Bailey. This new season also welcomes acclaimed actors José Raposo, Caio Blat, and Ricardo Pereira, as well as Brazilian star Paolla Oliveira, who plays a strong and surprising character.
The series, loosely inspired by real events, returns to the Azores, where the group of friends at the center of the story must face new and dangerous challenges with new enemies. Turn of the Tide is produced by Ukbar Filmes, with script and creative direction by Augusto Fraga, who also directs this second season alongside João Maia.
In this second season, Eduardo (José Condessa), three months after his departure, returns to find a completely different reality in Rabo de Peixe. The drugs have changed hands, and the group's friendship is tested by new and unexpected enemies. A new business opportunity arises: is it really just one more time?
