A down‑to‑earth, all‑too‑relatable hero: 'Cashero' Teaser Trailer Unveiled, Premieres December 26
What if the more power you use, the faster your money disappears? In this unprecedented "broke but unbeatable" superhero tale packed with humor, heart, and holiday-season relatability, Cashero imagines a world where saving the day comes with a very real price tag. Netflix has announced its premiere date on December 26 and unveiled the series' teaser trailer and poster to introduce this unlikely hero.
Led by a standout ensemble cast - Lee Jun-ho, Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byong-chul, Kim Hyang-gi, Lee Chae-min, and Kang Hanna - the series follows Sang-ung (Lee Junho), a salaried worker struggling to make ends meet who gains a superpower that grows stronger with the money in his hand. Torn between bills and power, he becomes a down-to-earth hero in this "My Cash = My Power" story.
The teaser trailer opens with Sang-ung demonstrating his new ability to his fiancée Min-suk (Kim Hye-jun): the more cash he has, the stronger he becomes - and the faster it evaporates each time he uses his power. As he jokes about his so-called gift, his unexpectedly heroic moments - catching bullets in midair, confronting dangerous criminals - reveal a power that's both absurd and astonishing.
Despite Min-suk's warning not to use his ability, Sang-ung keeps stumbling into situations where he can't help but intervene. Around him, other superpowered duos appear: Byun Ho-in (Kim Byung-chul), Bbang-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), and the siblings Jonathan (Lee Chae-min) and Joanna (Kang Han-na), who hunt down superpowered individuals. Their presence hints at a larger story filled with unpredictable alliances, rivalries, and chaos.
The teaser poster captures Sang-ung gripping a handful of cash that's disintegrating into dust, his expression a perfect mix of panic and resignation. It sets the tone for a man caught between protecting his paycheck and doing good deeds.
A delightfully ordinary yet extraordinary hero arrives just in time for the year's end. Cashero premieres December 26, only on Netflix.
