HBO Max announces the development of the second season of 'Scars of Beauty'
After a successful debut and a track record marked by impressive numbers, HBO Max has just confirmed that the second season of SCARS OF BEAUTY is in development. Produced by Coração da Selva for Warner Bros. Discovery, the platform's first original Brazilian telenovela concluded its initial run in March of this year with record-breaking results: it ranked among HBO Max's most-watched titles in Latin America - being the one with the most hours watched - and led key metrics in reach, subscriber acquisition, and hours consumed across Latin America during its final week on air.
The new season brings back the successful creative team from the first installment: the story is once again created and written by Raphael Montes, under the supervision of Silvio de Abreu. On December 15, the platform released the SCARS OF BEAUTY SPECIAL, revisiting behind-the-scenes moments from the telenovela's first season.
On behalf of Warner Bros. Discovery, the production is led by Mariano Cesar, Anouk Aaron, and Vanessa Miranda. From Coração da Selva, production continues with Geórgia Costa Araújo and Luciano Patrick, alongside Janaina Cabello.
