Fading Grandeur premieres on Netflix on 23 October, starring Antonio de la Torre and Alexandra Jiménez
Netflix today unveiled the premiere date, trailer and first-look images for Fading Grandeur, a new comedy created by Álvaro Fernández-Armero and Juan Cavestany. The series will premiere globally on Netflix on October 23, 2026.
This six-episode dramedy stars Antonio de la Torre and Alexandra Jiménez. Don Leandro, a ruined marquis who lives on appearances and dreams of being named a Grandee of Spain, sees only one way out of his financial disaster: selling his decaying family mansion in Madrid. The perfect opportunity seems to arise when the immensely wealthy businesswoman Sofía Carrington takes an interest in the property. But as the negotiations (and seductions) progress, it becomes clear that they are not who they appear to be.
The cast also includes Enric Benavent (My Heaven, Your Hell, The Unit), Fernando Andina (Dreams of Freedom, Oasis), Teresa Rabal (For One Hundred Million, The Sand Box), Mercedes Sampietro (My Friend Eva, Oasis) and Celia de Molina (Cochinas, Urban: Life Is Ours), among others.
Produced by Cuidado con el perro, the series is directed and written by Álvaro Fernández-Armero (Spanish Affair 3, Everything Is a Lie) and Juan Cavestany (Vote for Juan, Madrid, Ext.), who have previously worked together on projects including Shame and We're Sorry for the Inconvenience. Both also serve as executive producers alongside Alicia Yubero.
