October 5, 2026 - The official trailer for ChiaroScuro, the new 8-episode light crime series starring Pierpaolo Spollon, Andrea Lattanzi, Matilde Gioli, Romana Maggiora Vergano and Aurora Giovinazzo, with special appearances by Paz Vega and Alessandro Preziosi - is out now. The series, a buddy comedy set in the world of art, is produced by Lux Vide, a Fremantle company, and will have its world premiere at the Rome Film Fest, out of competition in the Freestyle section, and it's coming only on Netflix on November 11.
Cosmo Speranza (Pierpaolo Spollon) is the best art advisor in the business. He can tell whether a work of art is genuine or fake from even the smallest detail. An ability that proves useful when he finds himself working with Rome's Mobile Squad and Inspector Angelo Tiberi (Andrea Lattanzi). The two are forced to work side by side, discovering that they make an unlikely yet highly effective investigative duo because, just like a painting, a crime scene can also be a forgery. And no one is better than Cosmo at spotting the clues that can bring down the house of cards built by a killer. But when a painting depicting his childhood home is found at a crime scene, it doesn't take Cosmo long to realize that the killer is speaking directly to him, prompting him to reopen the investigation into his father's suicide. A journey between past and present, where it seems impossible to tell truth from fiction.
The series is written by Umberto Gnoli, Michela Straniero, Francesco Arlanch, Elena Bucaccio and Silvia Leuzzi, and directed by Jan Maria Michelini.
