Prime Video Unveils Official Teaser and Announces Launch Date for its New Film "Storm," Starring Bach Buquen and Clara Pacini
Inspired by the historic cataclysm that struck France on the eve of the year 2000, Storm will launch on January 15, 2027, on Prime Video
Prime Video today unveiled the teaser for Storm, its new French Prime Original film. Bach Buquen - the renowned content creator in his first on-screen role - stars as Erwan, and Clara Pacini (La Tour de glace) stars as Chloé, two teenagers caught in the storm of December 1999. The cast also features Roxane Mesquida (Kaboom), Félix Moati (Des Vivants) et Artemisia Toussaint (Demain nous appartient). Written by Matthieu Rumani et Nicolas Slomka, the creators of French Prime Original series Culte, Storm is directed by Edouard Salier (Tropic) and produced by Screenline (Banijay France) and Vodka & Caramel. The film will be available on January 15, 2027, exclusively on Prime Video, in France and in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Chloé, a blind teenager rebelling against an overprotective mother, decides to run away to attend a party thrown by Erwan, the popular boy at school. But it is the night of December 25, 1999: the storm of the century is about to devastate France and claim dozens of lives. Chloé and Erwan find themselves trapped by torrential floods and 200 km/h winds. What if, in the darkness of this apocalypse, Chloé's disability became a superpower? What if, on this night that could very well be their last, they discovered freedom, courage, and love?
Following the launch of the film You+Me - Against the World this fall and the series Campus Drivers on November 6, Prime Video continues to ramp up its Young Adult slate in France with Storm, which this time blends the romantic tension of New Romance with the adrenaline of a disaster film.
Storm is the latest addition to the Prime Video catalog. Prime members in France benefit from exclusive Prime Flash Sales, accelerated delivery and access to the best in entertainment in a single subscription for just €6.99/month or the low price of €69.90/year.
