DESCRIPTION: (from A&E's press release) What would you do if you had the opportunity to confront someone who had brought a great tragedy to your life? Would you jump at the opportunity to let him or her know what they've done to you and your family? Could you even find it possible to forgive him/her? “Restorative Justice” is an innovative program that lets victims and their families confront the convict, to ask questions, get mad, and find closure. A&E brings this life-changing experience to viewers in a groundbreaking new series. In the intimate, personal and compelling style of A&E's hit series INTERVENTION, RESTORATIVE JUSTICE will delve into the lives of the people most affected by a serious crime: the victims; their families; and the perpetrator. The story of that painful event and its consequences will be told first-hand by those directly involved as they prepare for their emotionally-charged face-to-face meeting. The victims/family members hope to find answers to painful questions, and the offender may find some answers too - learning the true consequences of his/her actions. In the end, everyone's lives will have been changed forever. |
