RAY IS DEVASTATED WHEN HE LEARNS THAT MARIE AND FRANK TRADED IN THEIR CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR A STATE-OF-THE-ART COFFEE MAKER, ON A REBROADCAST OF "EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND," MONDAY, DEC. 13

Katherine Helmond and Robert Culp Return as Debra's Parents

"The Toaster" -- Ray is devastated when he learns that Marie and Frank traded in their Christmas gift -- a personally engraved toaster from Ray, Debra and the kids -- for a state-of-the-art coffee maker, on a rebroadcast of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, Monday, Dec. 13 (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Steve Zuckerman directed the episode from a script by Phil Rosenthal, one of the series' executive producers. (Originally broadcast 12/14/98)

Katherine Helmond and Robert Culp reprise their roles as Lois and Warren Whelan, Debra's eccentric parents.

Ray is overjoyed by the reaction he is getting from those friends and family who received the personalized "Barone" toaster -- even Debra's pretentious parents are thrilled with the funky gift. But, having heard nothing from his parents, Ray confronts Marie and Frank, the two people whose approval matters most, and is amazed beyond belief to hear what they did with the gift -- and then what they resort to in order to get it back.
