"BAD MOON RISING," CHOSEN THE NUMBER ONE VIEWERS' FAVORITE
EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND EPISODE, TO BE BROADCAST MARCH 28
The CBS.com on-line votes are in -- "Bad Moon Rising," widely known as the PMS episode, has garnered the most votes as viewers' Number One favorite episode of the CBS hit comedy EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND. The episode will be broadcast on Monday, March 28 (9:00-9:30 PM/ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, bringing the viewers' favorite episodes to a close.
Written by series creator Phil Rosenthal and star Ray Romano, "Bad Moon Rising" was nominated for an Emmy award for Best Writing for a Comedy Series in 2000, and was originally broadcast on May 8, 2000 during Season 4. In the episode, when Debra yells at Ray in front of his friends, he blames PMS, and his friends offer advice on how Ray should handle Debra's mood swings. When Ray makes these suggestions to Debra, her mood swing almost knocks Ray's head off.
The viewer voting promotion began on February 13 when viewers were given the opportunity to go to CBS.com to vote for their all-time favorite "Raymond" episodes out of 15 chosen by Rosenthal. The five receiving the most votes were broadcast each Monday for five consecutive weeks. The top vote-getters were: #5 "Robert's Date," #4 "Baggage," #3 "Wallpaper," #2 "Marie's Sculpture," and the number one favorite, "Bad Moon Rising."
EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND will end its nine-season run on Monday, May 16 (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT), preceded by a one-hour series retrospective.
