"Idol" returns for its ninth season on ABC (and 24th overall); "Videos" is back for season 36; "Shark Tank" for season 17; "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune" for season six; and "Celebrity Jeopardy!" for season four. GOLDEN BACHELOR, THE (ABC) - Jessica Castro has been named showrunner of the reality series' second season. She'll executive produce alongside Andrew Frank. (Deadline.com, 5/9)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Juliana Martinez's Kate Silva and Octavio Pisano's Joe Velasco won't return as regulars for the series' 27th season. Martinez joined the cast this season, while Pisano was added in season 23. (Deadline.com, 5/6)
LIFTIES (HBO, New!) - "American Vandal's" Jimmy Tatro and Dan Lagana are set to re-team for a new comedy series at the pay channel. No details were given about the project, which will star Tatro with the duo co-writing the script and executive producing for A24. (Deadline.com, 5/5)
LINCOLN LAWYER, THE (Netflix) - The show's fourth season has tapped Emmanuelle Chriqui as Jeanine Ferrigno, "the girlfriend of a local gangster who finds herself mixed up in a criminal enterprise, giving her information pivotal to Mickey's defense"; Jason O'Mara as Jack Gilroy, "Maggie's current boyfriend, an orthopedic surgeon who's fit, tan and comfortable in his own skin"; Nancy Silverton as herself, "the world-renowned chef, restaurateur and owner of Osteria Mozza"; and Javon Johnson as Carter Gates, "a decent, hardworking business owner who'd turned his life around after legal troubles in his youth and now finds himself accused of murder." MASKED SINGER, THE (FOX) - The network's tentpole reality series will return for season 14 in January 2026 instead of the fall. (Deadline.com, 5/7)
MONOPOLY (Hulu, New!) - Edgar Ramírez will topline a new drama pilot from Onyx Collective for the streaming service: "In a cutthroat battle to dominate the Manhattan skyline, two rival real estate developers risk everything - wealth, family and their souls - as their ambition turns into obsession, and their partnership turns into war. Ramírez will play one of the two rivals, Moises Saladín, the charismatic heir to a Latin American real estate empire, whose unyielding ambition blurs the line between visionary genius and ruthless tactician." Roberto Patino and Cassius Corrigan are behind the project with Alonso Ruizpalacios set to direct. OFF CAMPUS (Amazon) - Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli have scored the lead roles on the YA series, which "follows the unlikely romance between Hannah (Bright), a wry, hockey-hating music major and Briar University's playboy star center, Garrett (Cameli)." Also on board are Mika Abdalla as Allie, "Dean's future leading lady"; Antonio Cipriano as Logan; Jalen Thomas Brooks as Tucker; Stephen Kalyn as Dean; and Josh Heuston as Justin, "Hannah's (Bright) longtime crush, a college rock band singer." Louisa Levy created the series and serves as co-showrunner alongside Gina Fattore. REASONABLE DOUBT (Hulu) - Morris Chestnut's Corey Cash will return as a recurring on the show's upcoming third season. Also on tap to recur are Kyle Bary as Ozzie, "a household name since his childhood when he starred in a long-running sitcom and is now up for a franchise role"; Rumer Willis as Wendy, "Ozzie's stylist and confident girlfriend"; Brandee Evans as Monica, "Ozzie's quick, sharp and professional agent"; Richard Brooks as Eddie, "a ghost from Jax's past resurfaces, bringing with him a whirlwind of unresolved tension that threatens to unravel everything she's worked so hard to build"; April Parker Jones as Rosie, "Ozzie's imperious and authoritative momager"; and Keith Arthur Bolden as Sal, "Ozzie's father who is nominally in charge of his son's movie career." RJ DECKER (ABC) - Rob Doherty's small screen take on Carl Hiaasen's novel "Double Whammy" has been ordered to pilot with Paul McGuigan on board to direct: "The drama centers on the eponymous RJ Decker, a disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con who starts over as a private investigator in the colorful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida, tackling cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife, and a shadowy new benefactor, a woman from his past who could be his greatest ally... or his one-way ticket back to prison." All three will executive produce alongside Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman of Timberman-Beverly Productions for 20th Television. (Deadline.com, 5/7)
TELL ME LIES (Hulu) - Costa D'Angelo has joined the cast of the show's third season as Alex, "a psychology grad student and part-time drug dealer who has a complicated past with Bree (Cat Missal). UNTITLED BARNEYS NEW YORK PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have sold a new drama to Amazon MGM Studios, the first as part of a new two-year, first-look TV deal with the company: "The untitled series is set when Barneys reopens its doors in Manhattan, and the fashion elite and behind-the-scenes staff collide in a whirlwind of ambition, secrets, and style." They'll executive produce alongside Susan Rovner, Rachel Kaplan, Matthew Gross and Colin Smeeton for Fake Empire, Aha Studios, Absecon Entertainment and Authentic Studios. (Deadline.com, 5/8)
WINGS OF FIRE (Amazon) - Aaron Waltke has been tapped as showrunner of the animated adaptation of the book series. Author Tui T. Sutherland will co-write the pilot script and executive produce alongside Waltke and Marc Resteghini of Jack Tar Productions. (Variety.com, 5/6)
YOUNG DYLAN (Nickelodeon) - The cable channel has axed the comedy series after five seasons. "After five incredible seasons of Tyler Perry's Young Dylan, we are officially wrapping production. We're deeply proud of the entire cast and crew, as well as our amazing partners at Tyler Perry Studios, for the work they've created and the stories they've brought to life around this show," Nickelodeon said in a statement.
