WEEK No. 11:
During the week that spanned the final nights of the November Sweep and the first nights of December (w/o 11/27/06), ABC delivered a solid second-place finish among Adults 18-49 (3.5/9). Although its Sunday night lineup was in repeat, ABC ranked No. 1 for the 12th week in a row across the key women demographics (W18-34 � 3.8/11, W18-49 � 4.5/11 & W25-54 � 5.1/12) and among Kids 2-11 (2.1/9) � on each week since the week of 9/11/06.
� ABC won the 2006 November Sweep among Adults 18-49, which concluded on Wednesday night, beating out the second-place networks by 8% (4.1/11 vs. 3.8/10 � CBS and NBC tied). It was the Net�s first outright November Sweep victory among Adults 18-49 in 7 years � since November 1999. ABC marked its 3rd straight November at No. 1 in Adults 18-34 (3.3/10). Making its competitive performance even more impressive is the fact that ABC did not the benefit of �Monday Night Football� in the mix for the first time in decades.
Weekly Rankings: ABC aired 6 of the week�s Top 20 TV programs in Adults 18-49, including the No. 1 show: �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 1, �A Charlie Brown Christmas� � No. 14, �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� and �Desperate Housewives� tied at No. 17, while �Ugly Betty� and �ABC Friday Movie of the Week: The Polar Express� tied at No. 19. ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� was also the most-watched show on TV during the week. ABC delivered the Top 3 broadcasts for the week with Kids 2-11, including �A Charlie Brown Christmas,� �The Polar Express� and a repeat airing of �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.� ABC News� claimed the Top 2 newsmagazines for the week in Adults 18-49, with �20/20� and �20/20 SP Edition-11/29.�
Monday
With �Wife Swap� leading into the two-hour season finale of �The Bachelor: Rome,� ABC produced its largest Monday night audience (9.5 million) since February and top Adult 18-49 rating (3.7/9) with regular programming on the night since March - since 2/27/06 and 3/27/06, respectively. ABC took second on the night among Adults 18-34 (3.4/9), Women 18-34 (4.9/12) and Women 18-49 (5.4/13).
�Wife Swap� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
At 8 p.m., �Wife Swap� turned in its best performance in the hour this season in Total Viewers (8.9 million), across each of the key adult demographics [(Adults 18-34 (2.9/8), Adults 18-49 (3.4/9) and Adults 25-54 (3.7/9)], Teens 12-17 (2.7/8) and Kids 2-11 (1.7/6).
�The Bachelor: Rome� (9:00-11:00 p.m.)
The two-hour season finale of �The Bachelor: Rome� produced season highs and posted ABC�s strongest showing in the time slot this season with regular programming in Total Viewers (9.9 million) and across each of the key adult demographics � Adults 18-34 (3.6/9), Adults 18-49 (3.9/9) and Adults 25-54 (4.3/10). �The Bachelor� took second in the two-hour time period with Adults 18-34 (3.6/9), Women 18-49 (5.3/13) and Women 25-54 (5.7/13).
� �The Bachelor: Rome� gained audience during each half-hour of its 2-hour telecast, growing by 1.9 million viewers (8.9 million to 10.8 million) and by 23% in Adults 18-49 (3.5/8 to 4.3/11) from beginning to end.
Tuesday
�A Charlie Brown Christmas� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
In its 41st year on television, ABC�s annual rebroadcast of �A Charlie Brown Christmas� dominated its time period among Adults 18-49 (4.8/13), Adults 18-34 (3.7/11), Teens 12-17 (2.8/9) and Kids 2-11 (7.4/23). In fact the 1965 animated PEANUTS special outpaced its nearest competition (CBS� original �NCIS�) by 17% in Adults 18-49 (4.8/13 vs. 4.1/11) and by an even wider margin of 38% in Adults 18-34 (3.7/11vs. 2.7/8).
� �A Charlie Brown Christmas� ranks as the No. 1 broadcast this season with Kids 2-11 (7.4/23). In fact ABC now claims the Top 4 highest-rated telecasts on broadcast TV this season among Kids 2-11, including �A Charlie Brown Christmas,� �He�s a Bully, Charlie Brown,� �The Polar Express (theatrical)� and �A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,� respectively.
�Big Day� (9:00-9:30 p.m.)
ABC�s debut telecast of �Big Day� earned second place in its half-hour to Fox�s �House� among Women 18-34 (3.2/8) and Women 18-49 (3.7/9).
�Boston Legal� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
During the 10 o�clock hour, ABC's �Boston Legal� defeated CBS� competing drama, �3 LBS.,� by 1.9 million viewers (9.9 million vs. 8.0 million) and by 25% in Adults 18-49 (3.0/8 vs. 2.4/7).
Wednesday
�Show Me the Money� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
ABC�s �Show Me the Money,� hosted by William Shatner, saw week-to-week increases across all key adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (1.7/5 vs. 1.5/5), Adults 18-49 (2.2/6 vs. 2.1/6) and Adults 25-54 (2.7/7 vs. 2.5/5).
�Day Break� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
ABC�s �Day Break� retained 100% of its week ago Adults 18-49 performance (1.8/5), while growing over the previous week among Women 18-34 (1.6/4 vs. 1.4/5) and Women 18-49 (2.1/5 vs. 2.0/6).
Thursday
ABC�s Thursday night lineup, which included the time period premiere of �MEN IN TREES,� led the evening in Total Viewers (16.2 million) and across all key adult demos: Adults 18-34 (5.3/15), Adults 18-49 (5.8/15) and Adults 25-54 (6.9/16). ABC has qualified as the highest-rated Thursday network in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic on 9 of 11 weeks this season, and as the No. 1 net in Adults 18-34 on all 11 weeks.
� ABC attracted its largest Thursday audience in 9 weeks and matched its highest Adults 18-49 performance in 8 weeks � since 9/28/06 and 10/5/06, respectively.
�Ugly Betty� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
ABC�s �Ugly Betty� took a strong second place to �Survivor� during the opening hour on Thursday evening among Viewers (13.0 million), while winning its time period and beating the CBS reality show by 26% in Women 18-34 (5.3/14 vs. 4.2/11). In fact �Betty� has led its hour among its core audience of Women 18-34 on all 9 of the series� regular telecasts.
� �Ugly Betty� was up by 4.3 million viewers (13.0 million vs. 8.7 million) and by 46% in Adults 18-49 (4.1/11 vs. 2.8/9) over the prior week�s special Thanksgiving airing, the freshman series� largest audience, and matched its best Adults 18-49 rating in 4 weeks � since11/2/06.
�Grey�s Anatomy� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)
ABC's �Grey's Anatomy� dominated the 9 o�clock hour in Total Viewers (24.3 million) and across all key adults demos (Adults 18-34 � 9.1/24, Adults 18-49 � 9.5/23, and Adults 25-54 � 10.8/24). �Grey�s Anatomy scored the medical drama�s best numbers in Total Viewers, Adults 18-34 and Adults 25-54, and second best among Adults 18-49, since its season premiere 10 weeks ago � since 9/21/06. In addition, �Grey�s Anatomy� registered the second-highest-rated telecast on television during the 2006-07 television season across among Adults 18-34 and Adults 25-54, behind only its own season premiere.
� On each of its 10 original airings so far this season, ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� has represented Thursday�s No. 1 TV program across each of the adult demographics: AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54.
�MEN IN TREES� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)
In its time period debut, ABC's �MEN IN TREES� delivered series highs across all key adult demos: Adults 18-34 (3.0/9), Adults 18-49 (3.8/10) and Adults 25-54 (4.7/11). In Total Viewers (11.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.8/10), �MEN IN TREES� took second in the hour, producing the Net�s largest audience and matching its highest young adult rating in the hour with regular programming since September � since 9/21/06 and 9/28/06, respectively.
Friday
ABC�s lineup that included the �ABC Friday Movie of the Week: The Polar Express� and an installment of �20/20� led the evening in Total Viewers (11.9 million) and across each of the key adults demographics: Adults 18-34 (2.9/10), Adults 18-49 (3.7/11) and Adults 25-54 (4.3/12). ABC produced its best numbers on the night in the aforementioned Nielsen measures in nearly 4 years � since 1/31/03, with non-sports programming.
�ABC Friday Movie of the Week: The Polar Express � (8:00-10:00 p.m.)
The Net�s special telecast of the �ABC Friday Movie of the Week: The Polar Express� delivered an across-the-board victory in its two-hour time period in Total Viewers (13.2 million), all key adult demos (Adults 18-34 � 3.1/11, Adults 18-49 � 4.1/12 and Adults 25-54 � 4.8/13), Teens 12-17 (2.6/10) and Kids 2-11 (6.4/20).
� �The Polar Express� attracted the largest audience and highest young adult rating for any theatrical movie on broadcast TV in close to 3 years � since 2/15/04.
� �The Polar Express� scored ABC�s highest Kids 2-11 rating in the time-slot in nearly 7 years - since 2/4/00. In addition, �The Polar Express� ranks as the third-highest-rated broadcast in Kids 2-11 this season, behind only �A Charlie Brown Christmas� and �He�s a Bully, Charlie Brown.�
�20/20� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
In the final hour of prime, ABC News� �20/20� drew the newsmagazine�s largest audience (9.3 million) and highest Adults 18-49 rating (3.0/9) in 10 months � since 1/13/06.
Sunday
While NBC (�Sunday Night Football�) and Fox (NFL overrun) were driven by sports programming on the evening, ABC�s all-repeat Sunday lineup paced ahead of CBS� all-original lineup in Adults 18-49 (3.5/8 vs. 3.4/8) and Adults 18-34 (2.6/7 vs. 2.2/6). ABC won the night with its rebroadcast entertainment programming among Women 18-49 (4.6/11).
�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)
Against Fox�s high-rated NFL overrun during the 7 o�clock hour, ABC�s �America�s Funniest Home Videos� grew considerably from its first half-hour to its second half-hour, gaining 2.6 million viewers (7.6 million to 10.2 million) and by 43% in Adults 18-49 (2.1/6 to 3.0/8).
� �America�s Funniest Home Videos� attracted its largest repeat audience (8.9 million) since March 2005, while hitting its top rebroadcast Adult 18-49 number (2.5/7) in the hour since January 2006 � since 3/20/05 and 1/1/06, respectively.
�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
From 8:00-9:00 p.m., ABC�s repeat �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� defeated CBS� original �Amazing Race� by 2.2 million viewers (12.8 million vs. 10.6 million) and by 23% in Adults 18-49 (4.3/10 vs. 3.5/8). The replay �Home Edition� won the hour across the key women demos (W18-34 � 4.6/12, W18-49 � 5.4/13 & W25-54 � 6.2/13) and among Kids 2-11 (3.4/11). In fact, the wide appealing ABC unscripted show stood as the top-rated broadcast of the evening with kids.
�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)
During the 9 o�clock hour, ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� replay beat out CBS� original �Cold Case� by 13% in Adults 18-49 (4.3/10 vs. 3.8/9). �Housewives� ranked No. 1 its time period across each of the women demographics: W18-34 (4.6/12), W18-49 (6.1/14) and W25-54 (6.8/14).
�Brothers & Sisters� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)
ABC�s rebroadcast episode of �Brothers & Sisters� earned second place during the 10 o�clock hour among Women 18-49 (4.0/10) and Women 25-54 (4.5/10).
