ON TUESDAY, 'LAW & ORDER: SVU' SWEEPS ITS TIME PERIOD, RANKING #1 BY EVERY KEY RATINGS MEASURE � ADULTS, MEN AND WOMEN 18-49, 18-34, 25-54 AND TOTAL VIEWERS

'MEDIUM' CONJURES STRONG NUMBERS ON MONDAY, SCORING AN 18-49 RATING 39 PERCENT HIGHER THAN NBC'S AVERAGE IN THE SLOT THIS SEASON PRIOR TO 'MEDIUM'

BURBANK, Calif. � May 13, 2008 � Paced by "Law & Order: SVU," "The Office" and "Medium," NBC averaged a 1.9 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.8 million viewers overall for the week of May 5-11, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Through 33 weeks of the 2007-08 season, Fox leads in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, with the race for #2 exceptionally tight. Season-to-date averages in adults 18-49 for the period September 24, 2007 through May 11, 2008 are Fox (4.2/11), ABC and CBS (3.0/8), NBC (2.8/8), Univision (1.5/4), CW (1.0/3) and Telemundo (0.4/1).

NBC is the only major network that has not seen its audience get significantly older this season versus last and it is now the "second-youngest" of the major broadcast networks. Through the first 33 weeks of the 2007-08 season, NBC is nearly matching its median age from the prior season (48.3 years this season vs. 48.2 years last season). In this same comparison, ABC's median age has increased by 2.2 years (to 49.2 from 47.0), CBS's median age has increased to 52.7 years old from 52.0 and Fox's median age has increased by 1.3 years to 43.9 from 42.6 years old at this point last season.

Primetime averages for the week of May 5-11 in adults 18-49 were Fox (3.3/10), ABC (3.0/9), CBS (2.9/8), NBC (1.9/5), Univision (1.6/4), CW (1.0/3) and Telemundo (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (10.6 million), ABC (9.5 million), Fox (8.9 million), NBC (6.0 million), Univision (3.6 million), CW (2.6 million) and Telemundo (1.0 million).

NBC highlights for the week of May 5-11:

* With its penultimate episode of the current season, "Medium" continued to deliver strong numbers on Monday. Its May 5 telecast was up 39 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period this season prior to "Medium's" debut. Season-to-date, "Medium" is up 17 percent in 18-49 and 22 percent in total viewers versus last season.

* Also on Monday, despite competition from ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," CBS's first-run comedy lineup and a first-run episode of "House," a two-hour "Deal or No Deal" grew by 45 percent in 18-49 rating and by 48 percent or 3.5 million persons in total viewers from its first to its final half-hour.

* On Tuesday, "Law & Order: SVU" swept its time period, ranking #1 by every key ratings measure � adults, men and women 18-49, 18-34, 25-54 and total viewers. In adults 18-49, "SVU" topped its closest competitor, ABC's "Women's Murder Club," by an 80 percent margin of victory, and it beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-34 and other key demos.

* On Thursday, "The Office" built on its lead-in by 44 percent in adults 18-49 and won its tough time period among men 18-34, topping first-run drama competition from "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI" in that elusive demo.

* "The Office" was the #1 show of the week among men 18-34.

* Also on Thursday, "My Name is Earl" and the season finale of "Scrubs" each ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34 (tied with "Survivor") and men 18-34.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, May 5 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (2.3 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49, 8.5 million viewers overall) grew from its first to its final half-hour by 45 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.9/7 from a 2.0/6) and by 48 percent or 3.5 million persons in total viewers (to 10.8 million from 7.3 million).

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Medium" (3.2/9 in 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall) matched its highest 18-49 rating in four weeks (since April 7), ranking #2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Medium" was up 39 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period prior to "Medium's" debut on January 7 (3.2 vs. 2.3, "live plus same day"). Season-to-date, "Medium" is up 17 percent in 18-49 versus last season (3.5 vs. 3.0, "most current") and up 23 percent in total viewers (10.4 million vs. 8.5 million).

On Tuesday, May 6 at 8 p.m. ET, "Most Outrageous Moments" delivered a 1.2/4 in adults 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall. From 8:30-9 p.m., an encore telecast of "Most Outrageous Moments" averaged a 1.3/3 in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law & Order: SVU" averaged a 1.3/3 in 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall.

Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (3.6/10 in 18-49, 10.5 million viewers overall) swept its time period by every key measure, ranking #1 in adults, men and women 18-49, adults, men and women 18-34, adults, men and women 25-54 and total viewers.

In adults 18-49, "SVU" topped its closest competitor, ABC's Women's Murder Club," by an 80 percent margin (3.6 vs. 2.0). "SVU" topped the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-34 and among men 18-49 and 18-34.

"SVU" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 176 percent in 18-49, while the ABC and CBS competition both declined in 18-49 versus the prior hour. "SVU" also increased from its first to its second half-hour in 18-49 rating (to a 3.7/11 from a 3.4/9), while both competing dramas declined from half-hour to half-hour

On Wednesday, May 7 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" averaged a 1.9/5 in 18-49 and 7.3 million viewers overall.

Wednesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Law & Order" (2.9/8 in adults 18-49, 8.9 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures.

On Thursday, May 8, at 8 p.m. ET, "My Name is Earl" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34 (tied with "Survivor") and men 18-34.

At 8:30 p.m., the season finale of "Scrubs" (2.5/7 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) retained 96 percent of the "Earl" lead-in among adults 18-49 and built on the lead-in by 13 percent in adults 18-34 (to a 2.6 from a 2.3). "Scrubs" ranked #1 in adults 18-34, tied with the final half-hour of "Survivor," and #1 outright among men 18-34.

Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, "The Office" (3.6/9 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in from the previous half-hour by 44 percent in adults 18-49, despite tough competition in the time period from first-run episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI." "The Office" ranked #1 in men 18-34, topping the drama competition in that elusive demo.

"The Office" was the #1 show of the week among men 18-34, with its 4.3 rating topping every primetime telecast on every network last week.

From 9:30-10:01 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-34, tied with "CSI." "30 Rock" retained 72 percent of its "Office" lead-in in adults 18-49, versus an average 68 percent retention previously for it in this time period to date.

Thursday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "ER" averaged a 2.9/8 in 18-49 and 7.6 million viewers overall. From half-hour to half-hour, "ER" increased by 0.2 of an 18-49 rating point, or 7 percent (to a 3.0 from a 2.8), while competing dramas on ABC and CBS declined.

On Friday, May 9 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Most Outrageous Moments" delivered a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall. At 8:30 p.m., a second rebroadcast of "Most Outrageous Moments" delivered a 1.3/5 in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.5/5 in adults 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall) increased by 23 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.6/5 from a 1.3/4) from its first half-hour to its fourth.

On Saturday, May 10, at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Medium" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 67 percent in 18-49 rating. At 10 p.m., an encore "Law & Order" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 30 percent.

NBC's primetime performance increased steadily on Saturday, building by 160 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3/4 from a 0.5/2) and by 144 percent, or more than 3.3 million persons in total viewers (to 5.6 million from 2.3 million) from the first to the final half-hour of primetime.

On Sunday, May 11 from 7-7:50 p.m. ET, an overrun of NBC Sports' coverage of golf's Players Championship" averaged a 1.6/6 in 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall. From 7:50-8:50 p.m., "Teleflora Presents America's Favorite Mom" delivered a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall. From 8:50-9:21 p.m. an encore telecast of "The Office" averaged a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall. From 9:21-9:30 p.m. a joined-in-progress rebroadcast of "The Office" delivered a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 2.5 million viewers overall. From 9:30-10 p.m., a third encore of "The Office" averaged a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 2.7 million viewers overall.

At 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: SVU" (1.6/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 45 percent in 18-49 rating while more than doubling in total viewers.
