CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

FRASIER (NBC) - Executive producers Chris Marcil and Sam Johnson have landed a blind script commitment at 20th Century Fox Television. The deal is part of a two-year, seven-figure overall development deal at the studio which kicks in after the pair completes their work on "Frasier's" upcoming final season. As part of the pact, the duo will create new series for the studio as well as work on its existing crop of series.

MARRIED TO THE KELLYS (A.K.A. BACK TO KANSAS) (ABC) - Yet another title change was announced today as the Alphabet network's new Friday comedy "Back to Kansas" is now titled "Married to the Kellys." The series stars Breckin Meyer as a New Yorker who marries into a large and gregarious Kansas family.

THE PRACTICE (ABC) - Rhona Mitra ("Sweet Home Alabama") has officially signed on to the cast of the David E. Kelley drama. She joins the recently cast James Spader and veterans Michael Badalucco, Steve Harris and Camryn Manheim on the series. Mitra will play Tara Wilson, a third-year law student and paralegal who takes a job as the firm's new assistant.

WUTHERING HEIGHTS (MTV) - Aimee Osbourne has joined the cable channel's musical adaptation of the Emily Bronte novel. Erika Christensen, Katherine Heigl and Christopher Masterson are among the current cast members of the telefilm, which is set to air later this year on the network.
