Debbie Matenopolous and Arthel Neville Named Co-Hosts of 'Good Day Live'

Veteran Television Personalities to Join Steve Edwards on Daily National Morning Program August 30th

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 -- Veteran television personalities Debbie Matenopolous and Arthel Neville have been named the new co-hosts of "Good Day Live," joining Steve Edwards on the popular nationally syndicated morning news, talk and entertainment program. The announcement was made today by Bob Cook, president and chief operating officer of Twentieth Television.

Matenopolous and Neville, both of whom have regularly appeared as celebrity guest co-hosts on "Good Day Live" over the past three months, will officially join the program on Monday, August 30th. Dorothy Lucey will continue to co-host "Good Day L.A.," KTTV Fox 11's morning news program, with Edwards and Jillian Barberie.

Regarding the announcement, Cook noted, "Debbie Matenopolous and Arthel Neville are two highly talented hosts who'll bring an entirely new dynamic to 'Good Day Live,' while 'Good Day L.A.'s' on-set chemistry will continue with Steve, Dorothy and Jillian. For the national 'Good Day Live' audience, we've decided to evolve the program so that it grows nationally with the addition of Arthel and Debbie."

"Good Day Live" executive producers Josh Kaplan and Lisa Kridos jointly added, "We are very excited to have Arthel and Debbie join the program. During the past several months we've had the good fortune to work with a number of exceptional guest co-hosts and received a significant amount of positive feedback from viewers on Arthel and Debbie. Dorothy is a wonderful co-host, true professional and joy to work with, and we continue to look forward to working with her, Jillian and Steve on 'Good Day L.A.'"

Neville, whose television resume includes anchor duties on the daily entertainment news magazine program "Extra" and CNN's daily news talk program "TalkBack Live," also served as a correspondent for the Fox News Channel series "Fox Files." In addition, she co-hosted the nationally syndicated daily strip talk show "Arthel & Fred." Neville's notable guest starring appearances include "Living Single," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Cybill," "Moesha" and "Days of Our Lives."

Matenopolous recently hosted "Entertainment News" and co-hosted "The Screening Room" for the TV Guide Channel. Between 1997 and 1999, she served as co-host of ABC's daytime talk show "The View," for which she received Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host in 1998 and 1999. In the scripted arena, she has appeared on the NBC drama "American Dreams," ABC's "Sports Night," "General Hospital," MTV's "Celebrity Deathmatch," "Saturday Night Live," and the independent feature film "The Sopranowitzes." Matenopolous also has appeared on numerous VH-1, Bravo and Country Music Television specials.

Currently in its second season and produced by Small Cages Productions, Inc. in association with distributor Twentieth Television, "Good Day Live" is cleared in more than 90% of the country.
