Eian & Marvin Get Eliminated from UPN's 'The Player'

[via press release from UPN]

EIAN & MARVIN GET ELIMINATED FROM UPNS "THE PLAYER"

Eian, From Los Angeles, Gets Cut in Sudden Death Elimination and Marvin, From West Hills, Calif., is Next To Be Given His Walking Papers

Eian, from Los Angeles, and Marvin, from West Hills, Calif., were the fourth and fifth participants eliminated from UPNs new reality series THE PLAYER. In the shows third episode, in order to win a date with Miami model Dawn, the diverse group of "self-described" players had to strut their stuff while walking the runway at the ultimate player pageant, culminating with a revealing bathing suit competition. The winners got a date with Dawn on a multi-million dollar yacht in Biscayne Bay, while the losers were sent home to make a special dinner for Dawn and her dates.

From early on in the competition, Eian was treading on thin ice after he made a pass at Ananda and his behavior in the house began to irritate Dawn. His fate was sealed, though, during the player pageant when he was asked which of Dawn's friends he would eliminate. All of the other players smartly responded neither, but without hesitation, Eian pointed to Jinelle and said, "Her, she's a hater and there are no haters in the game." Later, when Dawn was giving out awards to the winners of the pageant, she had an extra sash that she placed on Eian. When he turned it over, it read "Mr. Played Out." By overreacting to the sash unfavorably and mouthing off to Dawn and the girls, he was asked to pack his bags and leave. Afterwards Dawn admitted, "Eian's reaction was typical of Eian. He started to run his mouth like he does and I said 'You know what Eian? Take it like a man and just walk off the stage,' but I don't really think he is a man yet."

Later, back at the house Marvin was getting annoyed with the guys when they weren't preparing Dawn's dinner in the manner he had liked. Dawn was well aware that he took charge of the dinner and his arrogance really started to bother her. So, at the elimination ceremony, he explained he would try harder, but his plea to stay didn't help his cause and he was asked to leave.

THE PLAYER follows a cultural cross-section of guys who find themselves living together in a palatial mansion in South Florida with Dawn and her two beautiful girlfriends. Throughout the hot spots of South Beach and Miami, these self-proclaimed "masters of the opposite sex" will attempt to win over Dawn, with the approval of her girlfriends, as they are thrust into a variety of scenarios with the possibility of sudden death eliminations. By using all of their best dating tactics and interpersonal skills, they must prove themselves worthy of being selected as Dawn's ultimate player and hopefully not hear her dismiss them with the fateful phrase, "Don't hate the player, hate the game."

THE PLAYER airs Wednesday (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.
